20th Anniversary Concert

Maui Taiko celebrated their 20th Anniversary with a concert at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center included Uneme Daiko, San Jose Taiko, Marco Leinhard, Nakayama Minyo Kai, and Maui Minyo Kai

2014 MAHALO HAWAII CONCERT

To thank the generous volunteers, the Fukushima Taiko Union presented the "Mahalo Hawaii: Drums of the Fukushima Sunset Concert" at the Lahaina Jodo Mission on Sunday July 6, 2014.

2012 JAPAN TOHOKU TOUR

After the 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and radiation disasters in Tohoku, Japan, Maui Taiko was urged to perform at affected areas to bring happiness and the aloha spirit to the thousands of people who were affected.

2008 JAPAN TOUR

IN 2008, Maui Taiko embarked on another tour of Japan to re-connect with friends established during the 2001 tour and to film segments of the film Great Grandfather's Drum

2005 Peace Hero Award

Maui Taiko was awarded this recognition at the Maui Theater in Lahaina after their concert that featured a song created to recognize the Sadako Memorial at the Hiroshima Park.

2002 MAUI INTERNATIONAL DRUMS FOR PEACE CONCERT

The 911 tragedy fueled the commitment of the group to support peace events and a concert was created in August 2002

2001 Aloha Tour

Thanks to sponsorship in part by the Hawaii Tourism Authority, the group had the opportunity to travel to Japan in the summer or 2001 for 11 days.
