In 2008, Maui Taiko embarked on another tour of Japan to re-connect with friends established during the 2001 tour and to film segments of the film Great Grandfather’s Drum. The two week tour started with a concert in Hiroshima Prefecture at Fukuyama City for 1,000 attendees sponsored by the Fukuyama Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The tour ended with a performance with Uneme Taiko in Koriyama City in the Fukushima Prefecture.
